Accessing Comboscreen

Access via Mac OS X or UNIX

• Open an xterm window (our macs typically use X11)
• Type 'ssh -X lab@comboscreen.agry.purdue.edu'
• Enter the lab password when prompted
• Type 'comboscreen &'

Access via WSLR 221 Windows lab PC

• Double click the exceed icon on the desktop
  
• Double click the putty iconon the desktop, then enter the information below.  You can also load the saved session 'new comboscreen'
  • Host Name: comboscreen.agry.purdue.edu
  • Port: 22
  • Protocol: SSH
• Click the putty 'Open' button
• From within putty, login as user 'lab' then type the commands below
  • 'export DISPLAY 128.210.184.xxx:0'
  • To determine 'xxx' in the IP address:
  • Click on Start, then Run
  • Type 'cmd' in the box
  • At prompt, type 'ipconfig'
    
  • 'comboscreen &'
